When we're saved, God puts a fire in our hearts. We can let it dim, but we should rekindle it. The Holy Spirit will never leave us. We can always rekindle it.

Timothy had struggles with both pointless arguments happening and pagan culture.

Paul saw a fire in Timothy. v5

Timothy was commissioned/ordained as a pastor by Paul. v6

Now Paul wants to remind Timothy and stir that fire back up.

How do we stir up the fire ?

1. Tend to It

• 1 Timothy 4:13; 2 Peter 1:12–13; 3:1–2
• Keep the Word of God at the forefront of your mind
• Add fuel

2. Use Your Gift v14

• You might have to go outside of your comfort zone.

  • Even when Paul was facing death, his concern was to keep writing.
